Mommy (Poem I wrote for my mother)

I miss you mommy,
Why'd you have to go?
You left so soon,
I don't know what to do.

The day you died will haunt me forever,
The tears daddy cried keep replaying in my head.
Flashbacks flashing back and forth slower and slower,
Showing you, my mother dead.

I don't know what to do,
I don't know what to say.
The forever lasting pain in my heart, 
I don't think will go away.

11 years old I was when you decided to go.
So young. Didn't know what was going on.
I love you mommy, I hope you know that.
Never got to say goodbye but this is my moment.

Goodbye, mommy. I know you're in Heaven.
Smiling down on me, with that beautiful smile of yours.
You're my Guardian Angel, I feel you in my sleep.
That soft touch you had. Gentle and sweet.

It's been 6 years, 7 this fall.
As always I will continue to bawl. 
Crying is a way of grieving,
But also a way of healing. 

You will forever be my mother,
My best friend. My flower.
The sunrise that shines bright.
My angel you'll be tonight.

He will take all your pain and set you free
You can't change your life overnight
But God has you in his arms and will help you find the light

God will carry you and show you you're safe
You have nothing to worry about

Life isn't easy for those who dream
But God will help you achieve
Never underestimate his plans
God works in mysterious ways

When you finally let go of the past something better comes along
God loves you no matter what you do wrong
He loves you in your lowest and highest times
God is only a prayer away

I just now wrote this while laying in bed at 2:28 in the morning. I'm not a big poet but I'm actually really proud and love this! :)
